FEPD-1 Circular No. 23: Enhancement of Exporter’s Retention Quota (ERQ)

Merchandise exporters of goods with high import content are now permitted to retain 15 percent of the repatriated FOB value in Exporter’s Retention Quota accounts, doubling the previous limit of 7.5 percent. This directive amends paragraph 76 of FE Circular No. 31 dated July 31, 2025, while all other instructions within that paragraph remain unchanged. The updated retention quota applies immediately to all Authorized Dealers in Foreign Exchange in Bangladesh.

It has now been decided that merchandise exporters of goods having high import content may retain 15 percent of repatriated FOB value in ERQ accounts.
