FEPD Circular Letter No. 06: Settlement of payment against admissible inland transactions in foreign exchange
Authorized Dealers in Bangladesh are permitted to continue settling payments for eligible inland foreign exchange transactions through their nostro accounts. This authorization remains effective until June 30, 2021, and requires Authorized Dealers to maintain suitable arrangements with their correspondents abroad for payment settlements at minimum charges.
Foreign Exchange Policy Department Bangladesh Bank Head Office Dhaka. www.bb.org.bd FE Circular Letter No. 06 Date: April 04, 2021 Head offices/principal offices of all Authorized Dealers in Bangladesh Dear Sirs, Settlement of payment against admissible inland transactions in foreign exchange Please refer to Circular Letter No. 14 of April 20, 2020 and its subsequent circulars in terms of which Authorized Dealers (ADs) have been allowed to settle payment in foreign exchange against admissible inland transactions through their nostro accounts, with validity up to March 31, 2021. 2. Given the ongoing situation, it has been decided that ADs may continue settlement of payments through their nostro accounts against the eligible inland foreign exchange transactions. As usual, ADs shall maintain suitable arrangements with their correspondents abroad for the payment settlements at minimum charges.
