Authorized Dealer banks in Bangladesh must submit all foreign exchange market related statements through the Online Foreign Exchange Market Monitoring System within the stipulated timeline. The requirement for the monthly Foreign Exchange Inflow-Outflow Statement is updated to be submitted in actual US dollars or equivalent US dollars, replacing the previous instruction to report in million US dollars. This directive applies to all Authorized Dealers to ensure regular and timely compliance with reporting obligations.
Foreign Exchange Policy Department Bangladesh Bank Head Office Dhaka www.bb.org.bd FE Circular Letter No. 06 Date: January 30, 2022 Head offices/Principle offices of All Authorized Dealers in Bangladesh Dear Sirs, Regarding submission of foreign exchange market related statements through “Online Foreign Exchange Market Monitoring System.” Please refer to the Chapter-2, Para-26 of Guidelines for Foreign Exchange Transactions (GFET)-2018, Vol-2 regarding submission of foreign exchange market related statements through online on web-based platform titled “Online Foreign Exchange Market Monitoring System”. 2. It is observed that some Authorized Dealer (AD) banks are failing to submit statements within the stipulated timeline mentioned in the guidelines. Hence authorized dealers are advised to submit all foreign exchange market related statements through “Online Foreign Exchange Market Monitoring System” regularly within stipulated timeline. 3. Earlier, AD banks were advised to submit monthly “Foreign Exchange Inflow-Outflow Statement” in million US Dollar vide FEPD letter no-FEPD(FEMP)/31/2017-3938, dated02/05/2017. Henceforth, AD banks are advised to submit monthly “Foreign Exchange InflowOutflow Statement” in actual US dollar/equivalent US dollar through “Online Foreign Exchange Market Monitoring System” Please bring the instructions to the notice of all concerned.
