The Foreign Exchange Policy Department of Bangladesh Bank requires all approved dealer banks to establish remittance help desks at every branch and prioritize providing remittance transaction information to beneficiaries. Banks must maintain separate complaint registers for non-resident Bangladeshis and their remittance beneficiaries, reporting weekly complaints and actions taken to the department via the bank's head office. Additionally, banks are mandated to promote all bank-owned and government investment services for non-residents and publicize facilities for bringing remittances through legal channels.
