FEPD Circular Letter No. 13: Remittance on account of attending training, seminar, workshop abroad

The restrictions on effecting remittances for registration or participation fees for attending training, seminars, or workshops abroad by employees of banks and financial institutions are revoked. This authorization, previously withdrawn in May 2022, is reinstated subject to the observance of BRPD Circular Letter No. 02 of January 19, 2025 and DFIM Circular Letter No. 05 of March 24, 2025. Authorized Dealers in Bangladesh are required to bring the content of this circular to the notice of all their branches.

The authorization was, however, withdrawn vide FE Circular Letter No. 14 of May 22, 2022. 02. Given the changing situation, the restrictions to effect remittances on account of registration/participation fees for attending training, seminar, workshop abroad by employees of banks and finance companies (financial institutions) shall stand revoked, subject to observance of BRPD Circular Letter No. 02 of January 19, 2025 and DFIM Circular Letter No. 05 of March 24, 2025.
