Dear Sirs,

Regarding the settlement of applications for extension of time limit for matching of overdue Bills of Entry.

Reference is drawn to you to Chapter 7, Paragraph 30 of the Guidelines for Foreign Exchange Transactions-2018, Volume-1. It has been instructed that in applicable cases, applications for extension of the time limit for matching of Bills of Entry for more than 120 days be sent to the Foreign Exchange Policy Department of Bangladesh Bank, Head Office and other offices of Bangladesh Bank.

2. It has been decided that henceforth, applications for extension of time limit for matching of overdue Bills of Entry shall be submitted to the Foreign Exchange Operations Department of Bangladesh Bank, Head Office. In applicable cases, such applications may also be submitted to other offices of Bangladesh Bank.

3. This directive shall come into effect immediately. Kindly inform all concerned parties about the subject matter of this circular letter.
