FEPD Circular Letter No. 14: Issuance of Standing Order No. 01/2018 dated 30.07.2018 of National Board of Revenue

Approved Dealers are required to ensure compliance with the instructions contained in Standing Order No. 01/2018, issued by the National Board of Revenue on July 30, 2018, regarding the procedure for customs assessment and determination of the value of imported goods. This Standing Order, issued under the Customs Valuation (Determination of Price of Imported Goods) Rules, 2000, becomes effective on September 1, 2018, and applies to all Custom Houses, Custom Stations, and Commissionerates. A copy of the Standing Order is attached to the circular for reference and necessary action by the Dealers' branches and concerned parties.

Dear Sir,

Reference: Issuance of Standing Order No. 01/2018 dated 30-07-2018 by the National Board of Revenue.

In this context, it is stated that the National Board of Revenue of the People's Republic of Bangladesh has issued Standing Order No. 01/2018, dated 30-07-2018, regarding the procedure for customs assessment and determination of the value of goods prior to customs valuation under the Customs Valuation (Determination of Price of Imported Goods) Rules, 2000. This order will be implemented from September 1, 2018, in all Custom Houses, Custom Stations, and Commissionerates.

A copy of the aforementioned Standing Order is attached herewith to ensure that Approved Dealer branches and all concerned parties duly comply with its instructions.
