Dear Sir,
With reference to the subject: Remittance for house rent, food and other expenses in Saudi Arabia for Hajj pilgrims going under private management in 2012 (1433 Hijri year).
Attention is drawn to the letter No. Dir/HajSha/6-1/2009/458 dated 08.07.2012 from the Hajj Section of the Ministry of Religious Affairs (copy enclosed) regarding the subject matter mentioned above.
a) It is advised that for Hajj pilgrims going under private management in 2012 (1433 Hijri year), remittance for house/hotel rent, food and other expenses (except in certain cases) shall be at a maximum rate of SAR 6,900.00 (Six Thousand Nine Hundred) per pilgrim.
b) In cases where Hajj agencies declare Hajj packages at a price exceeding BDT 3,03,440/- (Three Lakh Three Thousand Four Hundred Forty) as per the government-declared minimum package price, and sign separate contracts with Hajj pilgrims at the declared package price, and deposit the funds collected from the pilgrims according to the contract into their own bank accounts, necessary arrangements shall be made to remit an proportional amount for house rent, food and other expenses mentioned in the contract, up to a maximum of SAR 9,000.00 (Nine Thousand) per pilgrim to Saudi Arabia, subject to approval, by producing the declared Hajj package, the contract signed with the pilgrim, the bank certificate of deposit of the total funds collected from the pilgrim into the Hajj agency's own bank account, and the Hajj Officer in Dhaka and Head Office.
