FEPD Circular Letter No. 18: Export incentive/cash subsidy against export of agricultural and agro-processed product

The Foreign Exchange Policy Department of Bangladesh Bank clarifies that cash subsidies are applicable for the export of juices and drinks manufactured from locally produced fruit pulp collected from associated or foreign establishments within the country. This clarification supplements previous directives regarding export incentives for agricultural and agro-processed products. All other applicable instructions in related circulars remain unchanged, and scheduled banks are advised to inform relevant parties.

Reference is invited to FEPD Circular No. 15, dated October 06, 2005, and FEPD Circular No. 35, dated September 22, 2019, on the subject cited above.

  1. Paragraph No.-10, Appendix-C (Serial No. 11) of FEPD Circular No. 35, dated September 22, 2019, has issued instructions for the provision of cash subsidy against the export of all kinds of paste, fruit bar, tinned items, dehydrated items, juice, and drinks produced from fruits and vegetables. In this regard, it is clarified here by government decision that cash subsidy will be applicable against the export of juices and drinks, etc., manufactured from locally produced fruit pulp (Chash) collected from associated/foreign establishments located within the country.

  2. The applicable instructions in other related FEPD Circulars/Letters regarding the provision of export incentive/cash subsidy against the export of agricultural products (vegetables/fruits) and processed (agro-processed) agricultural products will remain unchanged as before. You are advised to inform all concerned parties about this matter.
