Regarding the withdrawal of the ban on Salt Import.
With reference to the gazette notification issued to open up Salt Import under Section 26(58) of the Foreign Exchange Policy Order 2015-2018.
In this regard, the instruction issued through letter No. 26.00.0000.111.55.001.16-626 dated 24.08.2016 from the Trade Policy Branch of the Ministry of Commerce is enclosed herewith for your information and necessary action.
