FEPD Circular No. 01: Import transactions under usance terms
Authorized Dealers in Bangladesh are permitted to allow imports of edible oil, chickpea, pulse, pea, onion, spices, sugar, and date on usance terms for up to 90 days under supplier’s or buyer’s credit. This facility is applicable for the initiation of imports until March 31, 2024. Other relevant instructions regarding these transactions remain unchanged.

To facilitate import transactions, it has been decided to allow import of edible oil, chickpea, pulse, pea, onion, spices, sugar and date on usance terms on upto 90 days under supplier’s/buyer’s credit. This facility will remain applicable for initiation of imports till March 31, 2024. Other relevant instructions shall remain unchanged in this regard.
