FEPD Circular No. 02 : Foreign exchange policy department at Bangladesh Bank, Rangpur office

Authorized Dealers operating in Rangpur, Nilphamari, Lalmonirhat, Kurigram, Dinajpur, Panchagarh, and Thakurgaon must report to the Foreign Exchange Policy Department at the Bangladesh Bank Rangpur Office for all foreign exchange transaction issues. This jurisdictional change takes effect on May 01, 2011, replacing the previous reporting requirement to the Bangladesh Bank Bogra Office for these specific districts.

Web site: www.bangladeshbank.org.bd FE Circular No. 02 Date: March 23, 2011 All Authorized Dealers of Foreign Exchange in Bangladesh Dear Sirs, Foreign Exchange Policy Department at Bangladesh Bank, Rangpur Office Attention of Authorized Dealers (ADs) is invited to Appendix 4 of Guidelines for Foreign Exchange Transactions-2009 (Vol-1) regarding the jurisdiction of Bangladesh Bank, Bogra Office. ‘Foreign Exchange Policy Department (FEPD)’ has been established in Bangladesh Bank, Rangpur Office and following districts, which are presently under the jurisdiction of Borga Office, will come under Bangladesh Bank, Rangpur Office for foreign exchange transaction purposes:

  1. Rangpur
  2. Nilphamari
  3. Lalmonirhat
  4. Kurigam
  5. Dinajpur
  6. Panchagar
  7. Thakurgaon With effect from May 01, 2011 ADs operating in the districts mentioned above are advised to report to/communicate with FEPD, Bangladesh Bank, Rangpur Office instead of Bogra Office for all issues relating to/arising out of foreign exchange transactions.
