The Foreign Exchange Department of Bangladesh Bank amends sub-paragraph (g) of FEPD Circular No. 22 (dated November 20, 2011) to allow New Market Exploration Assistance even when export proceeds are repatriated from a country different from the destination of the exported goods. This assistance is granted provided the exporter verifies the business relationship between the party issuing the export order and the importer or remitter of the export proceeds. The directive becomes effective from the date of issuance for cash assistance against shipped goods.

Dear Sir,
Subject: Provision of New Market Exploration Assistance Against Advanced TT and other means.
With reference to FEPD Circular No. 22 issued on November 20, 2011, on the subject cited above, it is informed that sub-paragraph (g) of the aforementioned circular is hereby amended as follows regarding the eligibility for cash assistance against advance export value received through TT:
''(g) New Market Exploration Assistance shall be provided even if the export proceeds are repatriated from a country different from the country to which the goods are exported, alongside the repatriation of the relevant export proceeds from that country. However, in such cases, it must be ensured regarding the business relationship between the party issuing the export order and the importer/remitter of the export proceeds for the exported goods.''
