FEPD Circular No. 09: Cash incentive against export of Textile/RMG

The document establishes an additional 2% cash incentive for the export of garments and garment-related items to the Euro area during the 2015-16 fiscal year, bringing the total incentive to 6%. Authorized dealer banks are instructed to settle claims for applications already decided in this period based on prior audit certificates, provided applications are submitted within 30 days of the circular's issuance. All existing FEPD circulars and instructions regarding textile exports remain unchanged.

Dear Sirs,

Regarding the provision of cash assistance as an alternative to customs bond and duty draw-back facilities in the domestic textile sector.

Reference is drawn to Paragraph 1 of FEP Circular No. 08, dated July 13, 2015, issued on the subject above. It is informed that, in accordance with government decisions, an additional special cash assistance of 2% over the existing 4% will be applicable against the export of garments/garment-related items shipped to the Euro area in the domestic textile sector during the 2015-16 fiscal year.

For the current 2015-2016 fiscal year, applications for cash assistance at the additional rate of 2% against the export of garments/garment-related items that have already been decided can be submitted in accordance with the application form of FEP Circular No. 09/2001 within 30 days of the issuance of the said circular. Approved dealer bank branches will settle the said claims based on the audit certificates issued in favor of the applications previously submitted against the same export.
All existing instructions of FEP Circulars/Circular Letters applicable in the field of export of garments/garment-related items will remain unchanged as before.

All concerned parties are requested to be informed about the matter.
