FEPD Circular No. 10: Cash incentive against export of Shrimp and other fishes

The document amends the maximum FOB value ceilings for calculating cash incentives on the export of frozen shrimp and other fishes. The ceiling for frozen shrimp is increased to USD 4.98 per pound, and for other fishes, it is increased to USD 1.97 per pound. These new rates apply to shipments made on or after the date of the circular's issuance, while existing instructions regarding ice coverage rates remain in force.

To all Approved Dealers in Foreign Exchange. Dear Sirs,

Regarding the provision of cash incentive against the export of frozen shrimp and other fishes.

Reference is drawn to FEPD Circular No. 23 issued on the subject, dated December 12, 2002, Letter No. FEPD(Com) 291(Frozen Fish)/Policy/2003-661 dated June 03, 2003, and all FEPD Circulars/Letters issued regarding the provision of cash incentive against the export of frozen shrimp and other fishes.

  1. In accordance with the government's decision, the existing ceiling limit for cash incentive against the export of frozen shrimp and other fishes has been revised as follows: from USD 3.79 per pound for frozen shrimp and USD 1.10 per pound for other fishes.

  1. The new ceiling for export value for the calculation of cash incentive will be applicable from the date of issuance of this circular for the shipment of frozen shrimp and other fishes. Furthermore, the instructions mentioned in FEPD Circular No. 08, dated July 13, 2015, regarding the rate of ice coverage in the export of frozen shrimp and other fishes, will remain in force.

  2. All applicable instructions of FEPD Circulars/Letters regarding the export of frozen shrimp and other fishes will remain unchanged.
