The permissible limit for Export Development Fund loans to Authorized Dealer banks for foreign currency financing of input procurement for manufacturer-exporters and BTMA member mills is increased from USD 10 million to USD 12 million. EDF loans are now also available to member mills of the Bangladesh Plastic Goods Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BPGMEA) for bulk imports of raw materials for local deliveries of garment accessories against inland back to back LCs. For BPGMEA member mills, the loan limit is capped at the lower of the foreign exchange value realized against inland back to back LCs over the past twelve months or USD 500,000.

It has now been decided to enhance the above limit from USD 10 million to USD 12 million.
