FEPD Circular No. 14: Online hotel booking using International Credit Cards (ICCs) on Internet
Authorized Dealers of Foreign Exchange in Bangladesh are permitted to allow cardholders to use International Credit Cards for online hotel bookings when traveling abroad. This authorization extends the scope of permitted international credit card usage beyond travel-related payments abroad and online fee payments previously outlined in Chapter 19 of the Guidelines for Foreign Exchange Transactions, Vol-1 (2009 Edition) and FE Circular No. 11.

Attention of the Authorized Dealers is invited to chapter 19 of Guidelines for Foreign Exchange Transactions, Vol-1 (2009 Edition) and FE Circular No. 11, dated July 14, 2011 permitting use of ICCs for travel related payments abroad, online payment of fees, etc. 02. It has now been decided that ICCs may also be used for online hotel booking by the cardholders in case of travel abroad. Please bring the contents of this circular to the notice of all concerned.
