FEPD Circular No. 15: Requirement to submit Form QA-22 for accounts of foreign nationals resident in Bangladesh

Authorized Dealers must now obtain the original Form QA-22 from account holders or authorized account operating persons and preserve it in the respective account opening files. They are no longer required to obtain the form in duplicate or forward a copy to Bangladesh Bank. This change modifies the previous requirement under paragraph 9, chapter 14 of the Guidelines for Foreign Exchange Transactions- 2009 (GFET), Vol-1.

Requirement to submit Form QA-22 for accounts of foreign nationals resident in Bangladesh. Please refer to paragraph 9, chapter 14 of the Guidelines for Foreign Exchange Transactions- 2009 (GFET), Vol-1 in terms of which Authorized Dealers (ADs) should, while opening the accounts of resident status, obtain undertaking on Form QA-22 in duplicate from account holders or authorized account operating persons in Bangladesh and forward a copy thereof to Bangladesh Bank. 02. It has now been decided that ADs should obtain Form QA-22 in original and preserve the same in the respective account opening files. Hence, they are not required to obtain Form QA-22 in duplicate for submission to Bangladesh Bank. Please bring the content of this circular to the notice of all concerned. Yours faithfully, (Md.
