FEPD Circular No. 22: Export subsidy against export of intestines, horns and tendons of cow & buffalo (except bone)

The Bangladesh Bank amends paragraph 4(k) of FEPD Circular No. 28 dated November 24, 2016, to require applicants for export subsidies on cow and buffalo intestines, hides, horns, and tendons (excluding bone) to submit a certificate from the Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) alongside their subsidy application. This amendment is effective from the date of issuance of this circular for all pending and future subsidy applications submitted to authorized dealer banks or audit firms. The circular includes an amended Form 'B' which serves as the EPB-issued certificate of entitlement for receiving the export subsidy.

Dear Sir,

Subject: Provision of subsidy against export of intestines, hides, horns and tendons (except bone) of cow & buffalo.

Reference is invited to FEPD Circular No. 28, dated 24 November 2016, issued regarding the payment of subsidy against the export of intestines, hides, horns and tendons (except bone) of cow & buffalo.

  1. In accordance with the government's decision, it is hereby informed that paragraph 4(k) of the aforementioned FEPD Circular has been partially amended to state that a certificate from the 'Export Promotion Bureau' must be submitted along with the subsidy application for the export of the subject commodity. In this regard, necessary amendments have been made to Form 'B' attached to FEPD Circular No. 28, dated 24 November 2016, which is appended herewith.

  2. This instruction shall be effective from the date of issuance of this circular for all subsidy applications pending at authorized dealer bank branches or with audit firms for verification, as well as for applications for future subsidies.

All concerned are requested to be informed about this matter.

Signature and Date of Exporter

Hereby it is certified that the particulars mentioned in the above paragraphs are correct and true. The intestines, hides, horns, and tendons (except bone) of cow & buffalo, collected entirely from local sources (mentioned in serial no. 6), were processed in our own factory for export, and the export subsidy was received. The authenticity/reliability of the foreign buyer/importer's purchase order has also been verified.

Signature and Date of Exporter

It has been verified that the exporter's above declaration is correct. The declared export value mentioned in serial no. 8 has been found reasonable and consistent with the prevailing international market price, and the authenticity/reliability of the foreign buyer has been verified. It is recommended to pay the export subsidy on the repatriated export value (Net FOB Value).
