Authorized Dealers (ADs) may release the entire unused annual travel quota in foreign exchange to resident Bangladesh nationals proceeding abroad against a one-way ticket for valid employment or migration. This decision amends paragraph 1(ii) of chapter 12 in the Guidelines for Foreign Exchange Transactions (GFET)-2009, Vol-1. Other instructions within that paragraph and those in FE Circular No. 24 dated December 02, 2009, remain unchanged.

It has now been decided that ADs may in such cases release the entire unused annual travel quota in foreign exchange to resident Bangladesh nationals proceeding abroad. The instruction of the said paragraph of GFET referred to above shall stand amended accordingly. Other instructions of this paragraph and FE Circular No. 24, dated December 02, 2009 will remain unchanged. Please bring this instruction to the notice of all concerned.
