FEPD Circular No. 31: Instructions to be followed by Licenced Money Changers for Preventing Fake Note Circulation

Licensed money changers in Bangladesh are instructed to download authentic note identification posters from the Bangladesh Bank website and display them in visible locations at their offices. The posters must be printed in color with a minimum size of 18 inches by 14.5 inches. Additionally, money changers are advised to ensure the use of counterfeit note detection machines at their establishments.

Dear Sir,

Regarding ensuring the display of posters containing security features of genuine notes and the use of counterfeit note detection machines.

Attention is drawn to the subject matter mentioned above.

  1. It is advised that you download the posters containing methods to identify genuine notes from the Bangladesh Bank (old) website (khre.sh -> n.n.d.m.n.f >> Iddhshahd: >> Jbapntro: Rbdhntb >> Chrdng:bt: Ndhshdh 100, 200, 500, 1000) and print the required number of color copies in a minimum size of 18" x 14.5" to display in a place visible to customers. Furthermore, it is advised that you ensure the use of counterfeit note detection machines at your institution.
