Foreign Exchange Policy Department Bangladesh Bank Head Office Dhaka www.bb.org.bd FE Circular No.45 Date: 25/11/2019 All Authorized Dealers in Foreign Exchange in Bangladesh Dear Sir, Advance Payment against imports-liberalization/relaxation Please refer to paragraph 27(1)(b), chapter-7 of the Guidelines for Foreign Exchange Transactions-2018 (GFET), Vol-1 in terms of which Authorized Dealers are allowed to effect advance payment up to USD 5,000.00 or equivalent other foreign currency against admissible imports. To facilitate import transactions, it has now been decided to enhance the aforesaid limit to USD 10,000.00 from USD 5,000.00 or equivalent other foreign currency. Other instructions in this context will remain unchanged. Please bring the instructions of this circular, effective immediately, to the notice of all concerned.
