Foreign Exchange Policy Department Bangladesh Bank Head Office Dhaka www.bb.org.bd FE Circular No. 49 Date: December 09, 2025 All Authorized Dealers in Foreign Exchange in Bangladesh Dear Sirs, Discount claims against exports of jute goods In terms of paragraph 19(4) of FE Circular No. 31 dated July 31, 2025, Authorized Dealers (ADs) may submit applications for discounts claimed by importers in respect of shipment of readymade garments and leather goods. 02. In accordance with the decision of the Government, Discount Committee will consider applications for discount claims against exports of jute goods. Accordingly, ADs may submit applications for discount claims against such exports to Discount Committee through Foreign Exchange Policy Department of Bangladesh Bank, Head Office in compliance with usual formalities and procedures. In view of the decision, Bangladesh Jute Mills Association (BJMA) and Bangladesh Jute Spinners Association (BJSA) will be co-opted as members of the committee.
