Financial Intermediation Institutions – Article 154.1 of the RNRCSF – Effective Date Circular No. 2498
The Superintendency of Financial Services substitutes the effective date of Article 154.1 of the Compilation of Regulations and Control of the Financial System, changing it from January 1, 2026, to July 1, 2026. This adjustment corrects a timing discrepancy regarding the issuance of the regulation. The modified provisions will govern financial intermediation institutions starting from the new effective date.

SUPERINTENDENCY OF FINANCIAL SERVICES – RESOLUTION SUPERINTENDENCY OF FINANCIAL SERVICES
VIEWING: The resolution of the Superintendency of Financial Services RR-SSF2025-706 of December 17, 2025, communicated via Circular No. 2498 of March 3, 2026.
RESULTING: I) That the resolution referenced in the VIEWING section modified, among other aspects, Article 154.1 of the Compilation of Regulations and Control of the Financial System, which defines the components of net equity.
II) That the entry into force of the modification introduced in said article was established for January 1, 2026, a date prior to the issuance of the aforementioned Circular No. 2498, given that the time required for the issuance of the regulation was greater than anticipated.
CONSIDERING: That it is necessary to substitute the effective date established for the aforementioned Article 154.1, in order to correct the timing discrepancy previously indicated.
ATTENTIVE: To the provisions of literal A) of Article 38 of Law No. 16.696 of March 30, 1995, as amended by Article 2 of Law No. 20.345 of September 19, 2024, and to the reports issued by this Superintendency of Financial Services.
IT IS RESOLVED:
- SUBSTITUTE the effective date of Article 154.1 of the Compilation of Regulations and Control of the Financial System established by the Resolution of the Superintendency of Financial Services of December 17, 2025, communicated by Circular No. 2498 of March 3, 2026, with the following:
EFFECTIVE DATE: The modifications previously established shall govern from July 1, 2026.
- COMMUNICATE the provisions of the preceding numeral via Circular.
