Formation of new district in the State of Assam – Assignment of Lead Bank Responsibility
Canara Bank is designated as the Lead Bank for the newly created Bajali district in Assam, which is assigned District Working Code 01O. This designation follows the Government of Assam's notification of the district's formation and jurisdictional demarcation. The Lead Bank responsibilities for all other districts in the state remain unchanged.

Formation of new district in the State of Assam – Assignment of Lead Bank Responsibility
The Government of Assam (GoA) has notified formation of new district, viz., Bajali in the state of Assam vide Gazette Notification No. ECF-No.367433/32 dated October 11, 2023. Jurisdictional demarcation of the Bajali district was notified vide GoA Notification dated October 21, 2024. Accordingly, it has been decided to designate the Lead Bank of the new district as below:
