The Financial Sector Conduct Authority clarifies that retirement funds may continue using previously prepared financial statement formats under the Pension Funds Act despite the April 2022 exemption notice. Funds with financial year-ends ending in early 2022 are permitted to deviate from specified sample selection criteria while maintaining compliance with ISRS 4400, and may apply for case-by-case submission extensions via the Authority’s online portal. This guidance applies to all financial year-ends beginning after 1 January 2022 and aligns with the Independent Regulatory Board for Auditors’ revised report formats effective from that date.
