GBCSRD Circular Letter No. 10: To include 'corruption prevention activities' in CSR

Expenditures on awareness campaigns or other initiatives by institutions to prevent corruption and promote integrity are recognized as Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) expenses. Banks and financial institutions are advised to report these specific expenditures under the 'Others' category in the format issued by the Green Banking and CSR Department via Circular Letter No. 06 dated June 10, 2015.

Dear Sir,

Regarding the inclusion of 'Integrity and Anti-Corruption Prevention' in CSR-related programs.

Attention is drawn to the matter that financial assistance provided by any institution for awareness campaigns or other forms of promotion regarding integrity and anti-corruption prevention measures shall be considered as Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) expenditure.

It is also advised to you to display such expenditure under the 'Others' section of the format issued by the Green Banking and CSR Department through Circular Letter No. 06 dated June 10, 2015.
