Guidelines on the Base Rate System for Non-Bank Financial Institutions
Non-Bank Financial Institutions in Bangladesh must compute their Base rate monthly and submit statements to the Department of Financial Institutions and Markets within ten days of the following month. For the initial preparation of the Cost of Funds Index, these institutions are required to submit monthly reports starting from December 2012 on or before 15 September 2013. The guidelines establish the framework for components, computation mechanisms, reporting formats, and prudential regulations regarding the Base Rate System.
