Holidays during the calendar year 2015

Scheduled banks in Bangladesh, including Bangladesh Bank, must observe 25 public holidays during 2015 as specified in the accompanying list. The holidays include fixed dates such as Independence Day on 26 March and Christmas Day on 25 December, as well as lunar-dependent occasions like Eid-ul-Fitr and Eid-ul-Azha, which are subject to the appearance of the moon. The schedule also designates specific bank holidays on 1 July and 31 December.
