Instructions for Legacies and other Distribution of Assets of Deceased Persons
Applications for remitting legacies and other distributions from deceased persons' estates to beneficiaries resident outside Pakistan must be referred to the State Bank for consideration. Such applications must be submitted via letter accompanied by the deceased's personal details, authenticated copies of the Will or Letters of Administration, and a full statement of assets located in Pakistan. Any amounts not permitted for remittance are to be credited to a blocked account in the name of the executor or administrator with a bank in Pakistan. Applications involving the transfer of specific securities, shares, or real estate must also include full particulars of those assets.
