GUIDANCE NOTE Intellectual Property (IP) Assets Grandfathering Certification Programme FSC/2/GN/005(3) For the attention of all the Commission’s Licensees: Licensees are aware that the Commission has set a deadline of 31st January 2020 for the submission of the Intellectual Property (IP) Assets Grandfathering Certification Programme Form (the ‘IPAG Form’), which must be routed through the respective Registered Agents via email address, applications@belizefsc.org.bz. Licensees are also aware that the Commission had set a deadline of 20th January 2020 for the Registered Agents to request regulatory forbearance, provided that the Registered Agent submits proof that it had made good faith efforts to obtain and submit the required information for each IBC for which it serves as the registered agent. In this respect, numerous Registered Agents have approached the Commission to request regulatory forbearance in extending the deadline for the submission of the IPAG Form. Having reviewed and considered the matter and taking into consideration the challenges that Registered Agents may face in meeting the 31st January 2020 deadline, the Commission hereby extends the deadline for the submission of the IPAG Form to on or before 31st March 2020. FINANCIAL SERVICES COMMISSION 24th January 2020
