September 11, 2020 Circular Letter To: All Banks and Non-Banks Licensed Under The Financial Institutions Act, 2008 REF: CB-OIFI-1802/2020 INTERIM MONITORING SYSTEM QUESTIONNAIRE As we continue to navigate operations within the financial sector amidst the “new normal” due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Central Bank of Trinidad and Tobago (“Central Bank”) considers the current circumstances extenuating and proposes to formally re-introduce the quarterly submission of the Interim Monitoring System Questionnaire (“Questionnaire”). The Central Bank acknowledges that while some institutions continued to submit the Questionnaire on a quarterly basis, submissions from all institutions have been inconsistent. Accordingly, in an effort to maintain a continuous assessment of the risk exposures of institutions, the Central Bank is requesting that licensees complete the attached Questionnaire based upon its activity over the period. The Questionnaire should be submitted via email to interim-monitoring@central-bank.org.tt and to the Inspector of Financial Institutions within thirty (30) days after the end of each quarter, beginning with the quarter ended September 30, 2020.
