IOEAMA UNSCR Ref SC15229 ISIL Da'esh and Al-Qaida 15 March 2023

Date: 16 March 2023 Dear Registrant/Licensee: Re: International Obligations (Economic and Ancillary Measures) Act, Chapter 16 (IOEAMA): ISIL (Da’esh) and Al-Qaida Pursuant to section 3A of the International Obligations (Economic and Ancillary Measures) Act, Chapter 16 (IOEAMA), licensees and registrants of the Securities Commission of The Bahamas (the Commission) are hereby informed that on 15 March 2023, the Security Council Committee amended the entries specified in the United Nations press release attached hereto, on its ISIL (Da’esh) and Al-Qaida Sanctions List of individuals and entities subject to the assets freeze, travel ban, and arms embargo as set out in paragraph 1 of Security Council Resolution 2610 (2021), and in accordance with paragraphs 90 and 91 of resolution 2610 (2021).
