Date: 9 February 2024 Dear Registrant/Licensee: Re: International Obligations (Economic and Ancillary Measures) Act, Chapter 16 (IOEAMA): ISIL (Da’esh) and Al-Qaida Pursuant to section 3A of the International Obligations (Economic and Ancillary Measures) Act, Chapter 16 (IOEAMA), licensees and registrants of the Securities Commission of The Bahamas (the Commission) are hereby informed that on 7 February 2024, the Security Council Committee, following the 2022 Annual Review, in accordance with paragraphs 90 and 91 of resolution 2610 (2021), amended 85 entries on its sanctions list as specified in the United Nation’s press release attached hereto and found at the web address identified below. The amendments relate to ISIL (Da’esh) and Al-Qaida Sanctions List of individuals and entities subject to the assets freeze, travel ban and arms embargo set out in paragraph 1 of Security Council resolution 2610 (2021).
