The watermark containing a horse head motif can be seen by holding the banknote against the light. The 50000 Dinar also contain a highlight displaying the denominational value.

Embedded Security Thread

The security thread is visible as a continuous dark line with the inscription “Central Bank of Iraq” when the banknote is held against the light.

Intaglio Print

On all denominations, certain motifs are printed in intaglio. These areas have a distinct tactile surface with a strong contrast to the background.

Invisible Block

All denominations contain areas printed with fluorescent ink that becomes visible only under ultra violet light. This feature is also detectable by banknote processing devices.

RollingStar® Security Thread

The security of the four larger denominations has been enhanced by a security thread with a defined movement sequence and an additional colour-shift effect. When you hold the banknote against the light you will find the text “Central Bank of Iraq and the Assyrian palm tree.

SPARK® Optically Variable Magnetic Ink
