The Governing Board of the CNBV decreed the temporary managerial intervention of two banking institutions: CI Banco, S.A. and Intercam Banco, S.A.
Based on Article 129 of the Credit Institutions Law and in order to protect the interests of the public savers and creditors, the Governing Board of the National Banking and Securities Commission decreed the temporary managerial intervention of two banking institutions: CI Banco, S.A., Multiple Banking Institution, and Intercam Banco, S.A., Multiple Banking Institution, Intercam Financial Group.
The intervention aims to replace their administrative bodies and legal representatives in order to safeguard the rights of savers and clients of these institutions, given the implications that the measures announced by the U.S. Department of the Treasury may have on these banks.
The financial authorities maintain confidence in the solidity and resilience of the Mexican financial system and will continue to work in permanent coordination to continue promoting the stability, integrity, and proper functioning of the system.
