Latvijas Banka granted Hodleris SIA a license to provide crypto-asset services, including custody, exchange, and transfer, under the EU Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation. This authorization allows Hodleris SIA to operate across the entire European Union via the cross-border notification mechanism. The institution notes that nine companies have now received such licenses since the unified regulatory framework came into force.

On June 25, the Supervisory Committee of the Bank of Latvia issued a license to Hodleris SIA for the activity of a crypto-asset service provider.
The license allows the company to provide the following crypto-asset services:
Hodleris SIA received the license in accordance with the requirements of the European Union (EU) Regulation on markets in crypto-assets and can provide its services throughout the EU in accordance with the cross-border activity notification mechanism.
Since the EU's unified legal framework for the crypto-asset industry came into force, nine companies have received permission from the Bank of Latvia to provide crypto-asset services. The list of these companies can be found on the Bank of Latvia's website, while the list of EU-level crypto-asset service providers is maintained by the European Securities and Markets Authority.
Companies wishing to obtain a license from the Bank of Latvia are invited to use the licensing guides prepared by the Bank of Latvia, which contain detailed information about the licensing process and requirements, including what documents must be prepared and submitted to the Bank of Latvia, application review deadlines, and other information.
To ensure a smooth licensing process, the Bank of Latvia encourages companies to use pre-licensing consultations. In these consultations, Bank of Latvia experts advise companies on the applicable regulations and initially assess the company's compliance with regulatory requirements. Cooperation during the pre-licensing phase helps companies prepare high-quality applications for obtaining a license, and the license acquisition process is efficient.
