MODIFICATORY CIRCULAR 7/16 OF THE SINGLE INSURANCE AND SURETY CIRCULAR

The National Commission of Insurance and Sureties, based on the provisions of articles 366, fraction II, and 372, fraction VI, of the Law of Insurance and Surety Institutions, and

CONSIDERING

That in accordance with what is provided in articles 91, 92 and 93 of the Law of Insurance and Surety Institutions and 10 of the Regulation of Insurance and Surety Agents, the National Commission of Insurance and Sureties has the authority to evaluate the technical capacity of persons who request authorization or endorsement as individual agents or representatives as established in the aforementioned Regulation, through the application of examinations before it or the legal entities it designates for such effect.

That in Annex 32.9.10. of the Single Insurance and Surety Circular, the Examination Application Centers authorized by the National Commission of Insurance and Sureties are indicated so that through them the evaluations of the technical capacity of persons who request authorization or endorsement as individual agents or representatives can be carried out, in order to accredit that they have the necessary knowledge to develop the activity of insurance and surety intermediation.

That in terms of what is established in Provision 32.9.7. of the aforementioned Single Circular, the designation of the Examination Application Centers will have a validity of three years, which will be counted from the date of commencement of their operations, and such designation may be renewed for equal periods.

That in order to provide legal certainty to individual agents and representative agents regarding the legal entities authorized to apply examinations with which the technical capacity of persons who request authorization or endorsement as individual agents or representatives is evaluated, the National Commission of Insurance and Sureties makes known the Examination Application Centers that are in operation.

For the foregoing, this Commission has resolved to issue the following modification to the Single Insurance and Surety Circular in the following terms:

SOLE.- Annex 32.9.10. of the Single Insurance and Surety Circular is modified.

TRANSITORY

SOLE.- This Modificatory Circular will enter into force the day following its publication in the Official Journal of the Federation.

The foregoing is made known to you, based on articles 366, fraction II, and 372, fraction VI, of the Law of Insurance and Surety Institutions.

EXAMINATION APPLICATION CENTERS AUTHORIZED BY THE COMMISSION

In accordance with what is established in articles 91, 92 and 93 of the Law of Insurance and Surety Institutions and the second paragraph of fraction V of article 10 of the Regulation of Insurance and Surety Agents, the Commission makes known that by official letter 06-C00-41300/01640 of February 4, 2016, the designation as an Examination Application Center was renewed for the society whose name and social address are listed below:
