Notice 124 Public Disclosure Requirements for Licensed Insurers

The Monetary Authority of Singapore issues Notice 124 to establish mandatory public disclosure requirements and guidelines for licensed insurers. The regulation applies to all licensed insurers, excluding captive, marine mutual, run-off insurers, and Special Purpose Reinsurance Vehicles. Enterprise risk management (ERM) requirements and guidelines for licensed insurers.

Sets out the requirements under the risk-based capital framework for all licensed insurers, including the way in which assets and liabilities are to be valued.

Applies to all licensed insurers, except for captive insurers, marine mutual insurers and Special Purpose Reinsurance Vehicles. It sets out the requirements for insurers to submit returns to MAS.

This consultation paper sets out the proposed public disclosure requirements to complement the insurers’ existing disclosures in the published financial statements and MAS statutory returns.
