OFFICIAL LETTER modifying the Authorization Bases for the establishment in Mexico of the representation office of Banco Julius Baer & Co.

By Official Letter 312-2/43010/2024 dated December 13, 2024, this Commission authorized Mr. Carlos Alberto Muñoz Preciado as the representative in charge of Banco Julius Baer & Co. Ltd., Representation Office in Mexico.

Therefore, and based on the second paragraph of the Fourth of the Rules for representation offices of foreign financial entities, published in the Official Gazette of the Federation on December 31, 2014 (the Rules), this Commission deems it appropriate to modify fraction III of the First Base contained in Official Letter 312-3/70192/2019 dated August 2, 2019, published in the Official Gazette of the Federation on September 23, 2019, by which the establishment in Mexico of Banco Julius Baer & Co. Ltd., Representation Office in Mexico, was authorized, to read as follows:

Its representative shall be Mr. Carlos Alberto Muñoz Preciado.

This Official Letter must be published in the Official Gazette of the Federation (DOF), at the expense of the promoting entity.

Likewise, and based on the second paragraph of the Fourth of the Rules, in relation to articles 97 of the Credit Institutions Law and 19 of the National Banking and Securities Commission Law, you are required to inform this authority of the publication date carried out in the DOF of this modification Official Letter, within a period of ten business days counted from the next business day following the date on which the aforementioned publication takes place, which must be processed within fifteen business days following the date of receipt of this Official Letter.

This Official Letter is issued based on articles 16, penultimate paragraph of the National Banking and Securities Commission Law; 14, 19 fraction X, 21, fractions I, subsection f), II and III and last paragraph, 44, fractions I and IV and 64, first paragraph of the Internal Regulations of the National Banking and Securities Commission.
