Official Letter Modifying the Authorization Terms for Ares Fintech, S.A. de C.V., Electronic Payment Funds Institution

The National Banking and Securities Commission modifies the first base of the authorization granted to Ares Fintech, S.A. de C.V. (formerly EPlata México, S.A. de C.V.) to change its corporate name to Ares Fintech, S.A. de C.V., Institución de Fondos de Pago Electrónico. This administrative measure is based on the public instrument dated August 14, 2025, which formally records the name change, and is issued under the Legal Framework for Financial Technology Institutions. SUBJECT: THE TERMS OF THE AUTHORIZATION TO ORGANIZE AND OPERATE

OF THAT ELECTRONIC PAYMENT FUNDS INSTITUTION ARE MODIFIED.

We refer to the document submitted to this National Banking and Securities Commission (Commission) on

February 13, 2026, through the institutional email autorizacionfintech@cnbv.gob.mx, in accordance with

what is provided in the "Agreement establishing administrative measures for the continuity of the

activities of the National Banking and Securities Commission in the attention of matters processed before

it, during the health contingency caused by COVID-19", published in the Official Gazette of the

Federación (DOF) on July 15, 2020, by virtue of which Ares Fintech, S.A. de C.V., Electronic Payment Funds Institution

(Ares or Entity), formerly EPlata México, S.A. de C.V., Electronic Payment Funds Institution

(EPlata), submitted public instrument 110,254, dated August 14, 2025, granted

before the notary public number 59 of this City, licensed Patrick Strassburger Weidmann, registered in

the Public Registry of Commerce of the locality on September 10, 2025 under the commercial folio number

2019055020, in which the aforementioned change of its corporate name is recorded. Therefore, in

attention to your letter, based on articles 11, 12, 22 and 25 of the Law to Regulate Financial Technology

Institutions, the FIRST base of the authorization granted to EPlata is modified,

to organize and operate as an electronic payment funds institution through official letter P067/2021, dated

April 7, 2021, published in the Official Gazette of the Federation on September 22, 2022, to

remain in the following terms:

The name of the company shall be Ares Fintech, S.A. de C.V., Electronic Payment Funds Institution.

This official letter is issued based on the legal provisions cited above, as well as in

exercise of the powers conferred on this Commission in articles 142 and 145, fraction IV of the LRITF; 1, 3,

fraction V, 4, fractions I, section B and II, section B, numbers 22) and 32), 14, 35, fractions I, subsection b), III and

last paragraph, 45, fraction I, 61, second paragraph, in correlation with 64, first paragraph, of the Internal

Regulation of the National Banking and Securities Commission, published in the DOF on February 28, 2022; and the

articles 1, fraction III and 3, fraction IV of the Agreement by which the organizational units are assigned

of the National Banking and Securities Commission, published in the DOF on April 18, 2022 and

modified through Agreement published in the aforementioned Journal on August 17, 2023, as well as June 20
