The President of Uzbekistan standardizes the names of the Navoi, Angren, and Jizzakh special industrial zones as Free Economic Zones and establishes unified legal regimes, tax incentives, and customs preferences for them. Tax exemptions are granted for investment volumes ranging from $300,000 to over $10 million, with exemption periods scaling from 3 to 10 years based on the investment amount. The Ministry of Economy and the Ministry of Foreign Economic Activities are required to submit a program for improving zone operations and a regulation for the Administrative Council within one month, while legislative amendments must be proposed within two months.
