On Additional Measures to Encourage the Export of Fruit, Vegetable, Grape and Melon Products

In order to expand export potential, increase volumes and expand types of export supplies of fruit, vegetable, grape and melon products with high demand in foreign markets:

3. Effective from September 20, 2016, amendments shall be made to certain documents of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan in accordance with the Appendix.

4. "Uzbekoziqovqatholding" Holding Company, together with the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan, relevant ministries and departments, shall submit proposals to the Cabinet of Ministers on changes and additions to legislative documents arising from this Resolution within one month.

5. Control over the execution of this Resolution shall be assigned to the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan R.S. Azimov.

APPENDIX to Resolution No. PQ-2603 of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated September 19, 2016

Amendments to Certain Documents of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Effective from September 20, 2016

1. Paragraph 6 of the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On Establishment of the Specialized Foreign Trade Company "Uzagroexport" Exporting Fresh and Processed Fruit and Vegetable Products" dated April 7, 2016 No. PQ-2515 shall be deemed lost force.

2. In Paragraph 3 of the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On Measures to Improve the System of Purchasing and Using Fruit, Vegetable, Potato and Melon Products" dated April 12, 2016 No. PQ-2520:

the sixth indent shall be replaced with the sixth — ninth indents in the following wording:

"supply of fresh, dried and processed fruit, vegetable, grape and melon products for export shall be carried out subject to prepayment of at least 30 percent of the value of the shipped products, and a confirmed bank letter of credit shall be opened for the remaining part or a guarantee of a first-class foreign bank shall be formalized.

In this case, "Uzagroexport" JSC specialized foreign trade company has the right to export and sell fresh, dried and processed fruit, vegetable, grape and melon products directly based on export contracts, as well as under commission agreements concluded with farmer and dehkan farms, agro-firms and processing enterprises, without prepayment, without opening a confirmed bank letter of credit or formalizing a guarantee of a first-class foreign bank and without submitting a certificate on calculations to:

joint ventures and trading houses of "Uzagroexport" JSC opened abroad;

leading foreign organizations — importers considered reliable and long-term partners according to the list approved by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan;";

the seventh — ninth indents shall be considered the tenth — twelfth indents respectively.
