On Amendments and Additions to the Regulation on Prohibition of Interest Rate Increases
The Central Bank of Uzbekistan Board declares Resolution No. 27/8 dated November 19, 2021, which approved the 'Regulation on Prohibition of Interest Rate Increases' and its subsequent amendments (Registration No. 1304-5), null and void effective January 11, 2022. This decision is based on Articles 3, 7, 17, and 51 of the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan 'On the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan'. The resolution also approves specific amendments and additions to the original 2004 regulation regarding interest rate increases as detailed in the attached annex.

RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF THE CENTRAL BANK OF THE REPUBLIC OF UZBEKISTON
ON AMENDMENTS AND ADDITIONS TO THE REGULATION ON PROHIBITION OF INTEREST RATE INCREASES
[Registered by the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan on May 24, 2006 under number 1304-1]
This resolution declares null and void from January 11, 2022, the Resolution of the Board of the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 27/8 dated November 19, 2021 "On Approval of the Regulation on Prohibition of Interest Rate Increases", as well as its Resolution on declaring amendments and additions to it null and void (registration number 1304-5, dated December 10, 2021).
In accordance with Articles 3, 7, 17, and 51 of the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan", the Board of the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan resolves:
- Approve the amendments and additions to the Regulation "On Prohibition of Interest Rate Increases" (January 24, 2004, registration number 1304) attached *.
- The Annexes are provided in Russian.
- This resolution shall enter into force within ten days after its state registration by the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
