The Strategy of Actions on Five Priority Areas of Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2017-2021 (hereinafter referred to as the Strategy of Actions) is considered the most important programmatic document defining the priority directions of state policy in the medium-term perspective.

As a result of measures taken to reform the law enforcement system, early prevention of offenses, and combating crime, the overall crime rate in the country decreased by 15.7 percent, and in 1.2 thousand mahallas (neighborhoods), no crimes were committed.

Approaches to combating terrorism and extremism, previously limited mainly to fighting the consequences of security threats and dangers, were conceptually reviewed. Model and multi-story houses with a total residential area of more than 3.5 million square meters were built in cities and villages. The volume of residential construction increased 3.5 times compared to 2010.

The Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan shall ensure the coordination of the activities of state and economic management bodies, local state authority bodies, and other organizations in implementing the measures envisaged in the State Program.
The Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan, together with the Prosecutor General's Office and other interested ministries and departments, shall submit proposals to the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan within two months on amendments and additions to legislative acts arising from this Decree.
Control over the execution of this Decree shall be entrusted to the Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan A.N. Aripov, the State Advisors to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Uzbekistan I.B. Abdullaev.
