The Department of Issuance and Programming issues this circular, which constitutes Subject 16 "100 Peso Metal Coin" and replaces Operational and Services External Circular DTE-191 Subject 42: "100 PESO METAL COIN" dated April 23, 2024 and April 14, 2025. This is due to the change of area in charge of this regulation. Additionally, it is informed that, starting April 27, 2026, 100 peso coins with a 2026 mint year will be put into circulation.

Starting August 18, 1992, the Bank of the Republic put into circulation 100 peso coins minted by the Mint, in accordance with the provisions of Resolutions No. 19, of April 3, 1992 of the Board of Directors of the Bank of the Republic and No. 2154, of July 3, 1992 of the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit. The characteristics of this new monetary sign are as follows:

1. GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS ALLOY WEIGHT DIAMETER THICKNESS Copper 92% Aluminum 6% Nickel 2% 5.31 grams 23 mm 1.55 mm

The contour of this coin is circular and the edge bears the words "CIEN PESOS" engraved twice, separated by two strips with uniform width grooves.

2. OBVERSE It bears the Coat of Arms of Colombia, surrounded by the legend "REPUBLIC OF COLOMBIA" and the mint year 1992. All of this, in turn, surrounded by griffins (dots) distributed on the extreme edge of the circumference, at equal distance from one another.

3. REVERSE The face value of the coin appears expressed in Arabic numerals, below the word "PESOS" and the whole set surrounded by an open laurel wreath at the top. On the extreme edge of the circumference, griffins are also observed at equal distance from one another.

4. DISTRIBUTION The Bank of the Republic delivers this coin to the public and to banking establishments in bags or in cartridges packed in boxes, according to the stock in each office, with the following characteristics:

The distinctive color of the box and the cartridge is GREEN and that of the bag is YELLOW.

MINTING 1993 In 1993, 100 peso coins produced by the Mint were put into circulation, with a mint year of 1993. These monetary signs have the same design and identical general characteristics as those identified with the mint year 1992.

MINTING 1994 In 1994, 100 peso coins produced by the firm V. Deutsche Nickel of Germany and by the Mint were put into circulation, with a mint year of 1994. These monetary signs have the same design and identical general characteristics as those identified with the mint year 1993.

MINTING 1995 In 1995, 100 peso coins produced by the Mint were put into circulation, with a mint year of 1995. These monetary signs have the same design and identical general characteristics as those identified with the mint year 1994.

MINTING 2006 On February 27, 2006, 100 peso coins produced by the Mint were put into circulation, with a mint year of 2006, in accordance with the provisions of External Resolution No. 2 of May 14, 2004 of the Board of Directors of the Bank of the Republic. These monetary signs have the same design and identical general characteristics as those identified with the mint year 1995.

MINTING 2007 On August 10, 2007, 100 peso coins produced by the Mint were put into circulation, with a mint year of 2007, in accordance with the provisions of the External Resolution No.

MINTING 2008 On February 1, 2008, 100 peso coins produced by the Mint were put into circulation, with a mint year of 2008. These monetary signs have the same design and identical general characteristics as those identified with the mint year 2007.

MINTING 2009 On July 22, 2009, 100 peso coins produced by the Mint were put into circulation, with a mint year of 2009. These monetary signs have the same design and identical general characteristics as those identified with the mint year 2008.

MINTING 2010 On April 27, 2010, 100 peso coins produced by the Mint were put into circulation, with a mint year of 2010. These monetary signs have the same design and identical general characteristics as those identified with the mint year 2009.

MINTING 2011 On May 23, 2011, 100 peso coins produced by the Mint were put into circulation, with a mint year of 2011. These monetary signs have the same design and identical general characteristics as those identified with the mint year 2010.

MINTING 2012 On March 28, 2012, 100 peso coins produced by the Mint were put into circulation, with a mint year of 2012. These monetary signs have the same design and identical general characteristics as those identified with the mint year 2011.

MINTING 2012 - NEW FAMILY On June 13, 2012, the Bank of the Republic put into circulation a new 100 peso coin which is part of a new family of coins, whose characteristics were established

through External Resolution No. 4 of 2012 of the Board of Directors. The thematic orientation of the new coins confirms the interest of the Bank of the Republic in the promotion and preservation of our natural resources and sustainable development.

1. GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS These new monetary signs have a circular contour, a smooth edge, and present the following general characteristics:

2. OBVERSE It has a circular frame in defined high relief with a flat and smooth surface, followed by a griffin or succession of points. In the upper semicircle of the coin, a flat and shiny smooth zone with the text Frailejón and in microtext the scientific name of this species. In the center of the coin is the image of the Frailejón, a characteristic plant of the páramos, present in the Andes mountain range. In the lower left part there are fine horizontal lines that disperse towards the right part.

3. REVERSE It has a circular frame in defined high relief with a flat and smooth surface, followed by a griffin or succession of points and then fine lines in high relief in the form of waves, whose set forms a circle, within which is found at the top, the text "REPUBLIC OF COLOMBIA" and at the bottom the year of issue in high relief. In the center, the denomination in Arabic numerals is appreciated and below the word "PESOS".

4. DISTRIBUTION The Bank of the Republic will deliver these coins to the public and to banking establishments in bags, which will have the following presentation:

The bags will have a tie, muzzle type for the Bank's offices and sewn for the Mint and will be marked with vertical bars of yellow and white colors. These new coins will circulate simultaneously with the coins of this denomination that are currently in circulation.

MINTING 2013 On March 4, 2013, 100 peso coins produced by the Mint were put into circulation, with a mint year of 2013. These monetary signs have the same design and identical general characteristics as those identified with the mint year 2012-New Family.

MINTING 2014 On April 2, 2014, 100 peso coins produced by the Mint were put into circulation, with a mint year of 2014. These monetary signs have the same design and identical general characteristics as those identified with the mint year 2013-New Family.

MINTING 2015 On January 15, 2015, 100 peso coins produced by the Mint were put into circulation, with a mint year of 2015. These monetary signs have the same design and identical general characteristics as those identified with the mint year 2014-New Family.

MINTING 2016 On January 13, 2016, 100 peso coins were put into circulation, with a mint year of 2016. These monetary signs have the same design and identical general characteristics as those identified with the mint year 2015-New Family.
