The Palestine Monetary Authority establishes a Sustainable Finance Working Group to coordinate efforts and develop frameworks for sustainable finance practices. Financial institutions are required to appoint one qualified representative and submit their contact details to GF-CCR@pma.ps by April 24, 2025. The group will focus on harmonizing concepts, creating unified standards, and reviewing guidelines related to ESG principles and climate risk management.

Subject: Establishment of a Sustainable Finance Working Group
In line with the Palestine Monetary Authority's commitment to supporting sustainable finance initiatives and enhancing sustainability in the financial sector by integrating Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles into investment and financing strategies and decisions, and in follow-up to the Sustainable Finance Roadmap issued by the Authority, we look forward to establishing the "Sustainable Finance Working Group" to provide a consultative and coordinating platform for stakeholders in the financial sector in this field.
The Group will undertake multiple tasks, most notably achieving integration among efforts and unifying general concepts related to sustainable finance, finding a common and unified framework for practices and standards in this field, and reviewing and submitting proposals and recommendations regarding frameworks and guidelines to be issued in the field of sustainable finance, such as sustainable finance principles, principles for effective management of financial risks associated with climate, guidelines for the development and design of sustainable financial products and services, and others.
