Press Release on Macroprudential Framework (2026-06)

The Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye reduced the eight-week growth limit for foreign currency loans to 0.5% from 1%. Additionally, an eight-week growth limit of 2% was introduced for overdraft account limits allocated to consumers. These changes apply to the reserve requirement practice for foreign currency loans and overdraft accounts.
