PSD Circular Letter No. 03 Continuation of Uninterrupted Banking and Payment Services in Response to COVID-19

PSD Circular Letter No. 03/2021 Date: 08 Joishtho 1428 21 April 2021 Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer All Scheduled Banks operating in Bangladesh Dear Sir, Regarding the continuation of uninterrupted banking and payment service operations in response to the situation arising from COVID-19. In continuation of the DOS Circular Letter No. 16 dated 20-04-2021 issued by the Department of Offsite Supervision (DOS) regarding the continuation of banking services, and the PSD Circular Letter No. 02/2021 dated 13-04-2021 of this department, the operating hours for payment platforms to provide special daily banking services are determined as follows:-

  1. Transactions through National Payment Switch Bangladesh (NPSB): a) Operating hours for NPSB - Weekdays: Morning session - 11.00 AM to 12.00 PM Afternoon session - 11.30 AM to 1.30 PM b) On the aforementioned days, two sessions of NPSB will remain open according to the previous schedule.
