PSD Circular No. 07: Temporary Postpone of MFS Transaction
All mobile financial service (MFS) transactions are suspended from 5:00 PM on December 28, 2018, to 5:00 PM on December 30, 2018, in accordance with directives from the Bangladesh Election Commission. A limited exception allows personal account transactions up to a maximum of BDT 5,000 per day during the period from 5:00 PM on December 29, 2018, to 5:00 PM on December 30, 2018. MFS providers and their subsidiaries are instructed to immediately implement these measures and notify customers and all relevant parties.

Dear Sir,
Regarding the temporary suspension of transactions through Mobile Financial Services (MFS).
In accordance with the instructions of the Bangladesh Election Commission, all mobile financial service institutions operating in Bangladesh have been directed to completely suspend all types of transactions through Mobile Financial Services from 5:00 PM on December 28, 2018, to 5:00 PM on December 30, 2018.
However, keeping in mind the facility for transactions up to a maximum of 5,000/- (Five Thousand) Taka per day from personal accounts, limited Mobile Financial Services may be kept operational from 5:00 PM on December 29, 2018, to 5:00 PM on December 30, 2018.
In this regard, it is advised that banks/subsidiaries providing Mobile Financial Services take immediate necessary action regarding this matter and inform customers and all concerned parties about the issue.
